I’m too good for titles

so I figured it’s about time I updated…

The new job is fabulous so far… I love training. I’m getting paid for 8 hours of work when I rarely work more than 6 hours… 8:30 to 3:30 (usually…we’re scheduled for 5 but we haven’t left after 4 yet) with an hour lunch… plus lots of breaks. Today, we actually went in for 10:30 for some reason and were still out around 4… you just can’t beat that. So far, the job seems like it’s going to be pretty cool. Reviewing mortgage files, getting employing verifications, and calling borrowers to obtain information or missing documents… how hard can it really be? Nothing I can’t handle.

I work with a lot of really cool people. All of the people in my class are close to my age, which is really nice. At ING, I loved all the people I worked with, but I couldn’t really relate well to most of them. Most were a bit older than me, with kids, or just people I didn’t really have that much in common with. At the new job, most people seem to come from pretty similar backgrounds…. it’s a little more fun that way.

The Yankees just beat the Indians 1-0. Wang pitched 7 1/3 scoreless innings… Awesome. We needed this win., having lost our last 4 games. It’s nice to see so many younger players (guys like Cabrera and Cano) really stepping up and making a big impact. When most people think about the Yankees, they think about older players getting paid outrageous salaries, so it’s nice to see that they’re getting away from that image a bit and really giving the young guys a chance to shine. I guess that would be the one really good thing that’s come out of losing a couple of our bigger name, veteran players to injuries this season.

What else…

Friday will be my one year anniversary with Kevin. That’s pretty exciting… I still can’t believe it’s already been a year. I could go on an get all sentimental, but I won’t. Nobody wants to hear about that. :p Anyway, no major plans… I think we’re going out Saturday (Friday’s his last day at the History Channel and he doesn’t think he’ll be up for much… understandably). His gift still hasn’t come in the mail… I’d tell you what I got him, but he sometimes reads this. It’s really awesome though. I think he’ll like it a lot.

Okay, well that’s all the mindless rambling I’m going to do tonight…

Random Thought of the Day…

Have you ever noticed most newborn babies look like small pigs? pinkish, hairless, and their noses sort of resemble snouts… weird.
